Eugene Kingman: Retrospective + Art Sale

FreeBe our guest for a rare opportunity to explore the archives of one of Omaha’s most celebrated Regionalist artists, Eugene Kingman! Original pieces of the Kingman catalogue will be available for purchase, with a portion of the sales benefitting Joslyn Castle & Gardens.
The public is invited to a FREE hosted reception on Friday, Oct. 18th (from 5pm to 8pm), and Saturday, Oct. 19th (noon to 4pm) for a special art show and retrospective showcasing the paintings and graphic works of renowned artist Eugene Kingman.
Come celebrate his artistic legacy with us as we explore his unique contributions to visual art and art history.
Eugene Kingman (1909–1975) was an American painter, muralist, cartographer, and educator. Kingman was also the longest serving director of the Joslyn Art Museum from 1946 to 1968. Kingman was a prominent landscape painter who became known for his distinctive contributions to the Regionalist art movement in America.
Eugene Kingman’s daughter Mixie Kingman Eddy and grandson Quinlan Eddy are traveling to Omaha for this special weekend honoring Eugene Kingman.
Original works will be available for purchase. Food and beverage will be provided on Friday evening.
