Omaha Central High Presents: Once Upon A Mattress
| The Omaha Central High School’s Performing Arts Department proudly present their fall musical production of Once Upon a Mattress, music by Mary Rodgers, Book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller & Marshall Barer and Lyrics by Marshall Barer.
Production dates are Friday, Nov 7, 2025 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, Nov 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM in the Central High School Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students with their school ID. Tickets can be purchased by calling (531) 299-4738 beginning Monday, Oct. 1, 2025 and will also be sold at the door before each show. Prepare for a delightfully hilarious twist on The Princess and the Pea! Queen Aggravain has issued a royal decree: no one in the kingdom can marry until her son, the charming but clueless Prince Dauntless, finds the “perfect” wife. Determined to claim a bride, Sir Harry returns from his quest with Winifred, a bold, brash, and refreshingly unconventional lady from the swamps. Dauntless falls head over heels, but the queen is fiercely determined to sabotage their blossoming romance and get rid of Winifred once and for all. Bursting with catchy melodies, clever humor, and uproarious antics, this production delivers nonstop entertainment and unforgettable moments that will change the way you see this classic fairy tale forever! The show features talented student performers including Vivian Dauner as Winnifred, Tessa Priesman as Queen Aggravain, Tommy Melone-Reynoso as Dauntless, Charlie Gaillard as Prince Harry, Nyawuda John as Lady Larkin and a variety of other singers and dancers in the production. The show is directed by Scott Mead, with musical direction by Kathryn Bohn and Jeff Mount. Choreography by Julie Stanfill, Costumes by Leah Metzger and our publicity coordinator, Belen Castillo. The production will feature the work of Tom Bertino and Ernie Gubbels, the CHS resident technical artists and our alumni tech assistants Remy Lupo and Devan Brichacek and assistant director CJ Keller.
