Please join the Nebraska Wind Symphony on February 23rd at Omaha Westview High School as we present our annual concert showcasing All-Stars from area middle schools! This year we will be joined by young clarinetists for “Clarinet Hoedown” by John Moss, and George Gates’s “Sol Y Sombra.” The NWS is proud to share a performance with the Westview High School concert band and their conductor Doug Bogatz.
The Nebraska Wind Symphony will perform repertoire chosen from the following:
A suite from Victoriano Valencia’s tuneful “Ritmos de la Tierra”; Ivette Herryman Rodriguez’s “Bliss, a Mellifluous Chorale for Band;” and Alfred Reed’s timeless “El Camino Real.” Westview High School Director of Bands Doug Bogatz will guest conduct the Nebraska Wind Symphony on Ivette Herryman Rodriguez’ “Bliss,” a beautiful chorale, followed by NWS Member Myra Coveney’s electrifying performance on Nathan Daughtrey’s “Twitch” for Clarinet and Band.
