The Nutcracker world premiered in 1892 in Saint Petersburg. It has been a Christmas classic for about 130 years now.

American Midwest ballet has been producing the Nutcracker for thirteen years except for one season due to the pandemic. Some of the students who have been with this production for many years are now part of the cast.
