‘Gallery 1516’ New Collaborations and Exhibitions

August 14th, 2024

Recently, Gallery 1516 teamed up with the Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival to host one of their concert series. The event, featuring original works by contemporary composers, was a hit. Deputy Director Sara Bihlmaier is enthusiastic about this new partnership, highlighting the gallery’s ongoing commitment to bringing diverse and dynamic programming to the community.

The gallery is now preparing for its next exciting venture: the “Downsizing” exhibition. This unique art show and fundraiser will showcase various pieces from Nebraska collectors who are downsizing their collections. The exhibition offers a chance for the public to view and possibly acquire diverse artworks while supporting the gallery’s mission. The “Downsizing” exhibition opens on August 22 and runs through September 22, offering art lovers a month to explore and enjoy the collection.

In addition to the exhibition, Gallery 1516 is gearing up for the new season of its popular concert series. These concerts have become a beloved tradition, filling the gallery with a harmonious blend of live music and visual art. Each performance offers a unique experience, further solidifying Gallery 1516’s role as a cultural hub in the community.
