Staff Sergeant Daniel Thrower plays the trumpet in the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, he composed a musical piece to celebrate the United States air force’s 75 years as an independent service and 50 years of KVNO.

Sargent Thrower grew up in Utah and has a Ph.D. in teaching music. Before he joined the air force, he wanted to teach music and had the option to teach at five different universities.
