O-PA, Continues to Champion Education, Diversity, And Community Engagement

March 12th, 2024

Exciting news is buzzing in Omaha as KVNO shares the latest from Omaha Performing Arts: the unveiling of their much-anticipated 2024-2025 Broadway season. While the organization promises stellar musicals and plays for Omaha audiences, its commitment extends far beyond entertainment, with a focus on various education and outreach initiatives aimed at enriching the local community.

One of the standout features of this season is the production of “The Lion King,” which not only captivates audiences but also marks the debut of an innovative educational program for youth. Sylvia Stone, the communications manager for Omaha Performing Arts, reveals that space for this camp is limited, but there are plans to continue offering similar programs alongside future productions. Notably, the camp fee can sometimes be waived, as generous sponsors step in to support one or more aspiring young artists.

In addition to its Broadway offerings, Omaha Performing Arts is gearing up for an event as part of its “Voices Amplified: Elevating Asian American Voices” season for 2023/24, promising thought-provoking and culturally enriching experiences.
