Omaha Performing Arts, Hip Hop’s 50th Anniversary And Shows

June 12th, 2024

With the recent celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop in the United States, Omaha Performing Arts is highlighting the significance of this culture, resonating with many in Omaha. They have been hosting a hip-hop camp lab primarily for children in grades 6 to 12. The lab aims to inspire and educate the next generation about hip-hop’s rich history and vibrant lifestyle.

The final camp, for now, will run from July 23 to July 25. Sylvia Stone, Communications Manager for Omaha Performing Arts, emphasizes that financial aid is available for those who want to attend but may have financial difficulties. “We want to ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, has the opportunity to participate and benefit from the program,” Stone said.

In addition to the camp, Omaha Performing Arts will soon announce the next Amplified Voices program for this fall. Meanwhile, there are plenty of exciting entertainment options to enjoy this summer.
