‘Resonance’ Brings Bernstein and Hagenberg a Unique Blend
October 1st, 2024
Omaha’s premier vocal ensemble, Resonance, is set to captivate audiences again this week with a dynamic program that masterfully blends 20th- and 21st-century American music. Featuring two distinct and harmonically rich works, the concert promises a journey through modern choral artistry.
Led by Barron Breland, Resonance’s principal conductor, the performance will highlight the power of text and its often-overlooked role in music. Breland emphasizes that this concert will help audiences appreciate the importance of words in shaping the emotional impact of a composition.
The evening will showcase a variety of collaborations, creating an experience rich in creativity and musical expression. With works by Leonard Bernstein and Elaine Hagenberg, alongside many local collaborators, this performance is set to be a standout event in Omaha’s cultural calendar.
Join Resonance this Thursday, October 3rd, at 7:30 p.m. at Countryside Community Church. For more information, visit resonancevoices.org.
