Join us for an exciting evening of musical mastery performed by Dr. Sonja Kraus (cello) and Dr. Brooks Hafey (piano)! “Sonata as a Statement” will feature works by Frédéric Chopin, Margeret Hubicki and Sergei Prokofiev, each played with the dynamism expected of the acclaimed Hafey/Kraus duo.
What’s so great about a sonata? One of the most commonly used composition styles, the sonata has evolved over 300 years of music history to become one of the most thought-provoking vehicles for a composer to express their musical ideas. Join us to explore the full spectrum of this genre, from the delicate melodies of Chopin to the clever harmonies of Prokofiev. There’s something for everyone!
