Join us for a Benson Theatre and Soul Sessions collaboration! The MidWest Poetry Vibe is back for an amazing experience in 2024. This open mic poetry event has been a must attend event since 2008 with live music, poets, artists, and the host that brings it all together “Slim Tweezy”. Get there early to sign up to perform and let’s enjoy this great atmosphere provided by The Black Swan Theory and host. “It’s a vibe, y’all!”

Soul Sessions is a monthly variety show, hosted at the Historic Benson Theatre, celebrating the hottest artists in Omaha and the surrounding area. Join us for an invigorating evening of talent, connection, and joy featuring multiple art forms!
Doors Open: 7 PM for cocktail hour
Show Starts: 8 PM
Ticket Price: $20 presale, $25 at the door. Limited VIP booths including a full bottle of wine and seating for 4 are available for $150 package price
Who Can Attend?
At Benson Theatre, we believe in unrestricted access to art for all Omaha communities without censorship. We welcome our patrons to experience different productions that engage their critical thinking and expand their perspective. We also understand that some works or performances are not for everyone. About Our Collaborators:
Big Wade & The Black Swan Theory: Big Wade & The Black Swan Theory consists of lead singer and pianist, LeWade “Big Wade” Millner and his group of legegns in the making. Born in Omaha, NE, the group consists of musicians from all over the country, from the west coast to the south. They are currently working on releasing 2 new projects this year to follow up their successful debut “The Exxperience”. If you love live music, funk, R&B, soul, jazz…great music, then you do not want to miss them!
