Artist Dar VandeVoort Unveils New Work in Be Mine Exhibition

February 26th, 2025

While art may inspire various emotions or interpretations, artist Dar VandeVoort strives to bring happiness with her art. VandeVoort prioritized her love for creating her art and worked to become a professional artist.

VandeVoort typically uses acrylic paint for her artwork. When the mood strikes, she enjoys utilizing her skills in oil painting or with pastels. While her artwork ranges across various subjects or techniques used to create a piece, each piece she creates is made with the intention to convey positivity.

VandeVoort is a longtime member artist with the Artists Collaborative Gallery.  The gallery encourages its artists to have a feature exhibition each year. VandeVoort often works with fellow artist, George Skuodas. Although their methods of creating their artwork differ, their collaborations feature complementing themes.

VandeVoort and Skuodas collaborated once again in the Artist Collaborative Gallery’s February exhibition, Be Mine. The Be Mine exhibition features art centered around the concept of love. VandeVoort’s art for the exhibition showcases color and whimsy to create a fun atmosphere. Many of her artworks utilize some aspect of recycling within the piece.

The Be Mine exhibition is held at the Artists Cooperative Gallery through March 2. More information about VandeVoort’s art is available at www.darzart.com
