Bellevue Little Theatre Debuts Regional Premiere of The Cottage

The Bellevue Little Theatre is capping off its 57th season with its summer comedy, The Cottage. The romantic farce is making its regional premiere in the Omaha area. After initially debuting on Broadway in 2023, The Cottage aims to bring that same spark of energy to the Bellevue stage. Director of the Cottage, Jon Flower, said, “It’s exciting to be able to bring a new Omaha premiere to the area.”

The Cottage is a story about love and betrayal that follows an ensemble of six actors through a scandalous affair while examining ideas about what love truly is. “To say that this cast has chemistry is an understatement,” Flower said. “They’ve really found this wonderful cadence for delivering jokes, while also creating these lovely, earnest moments.”

With slapstick comedy, secret reveals, and numerous special effects, the show seeks to surprise audiences. The Bellevue Little Theatre will be showing The Cottage through June 21. More information is available at theblt.org.
