Berko’s Journey Highlights Omaha’s Immigrant History

KVNO commissioned American composer Stacy Garrop to write a work for our 50th anniversary. Stacy chose to honor Omaha’s rich immigrant history by composing a work that tells the story of her great-grandfather’s journey from Russia to Omaha. Stacy will speak at KVNO’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on October 21, and the Omaha Symphony will perform the world premier of Berko’s Journey at their Masterworks concert that night. Tickets for the event are available through October 14.
