Omaha Artist Brad Marr Unveils “Murmurations” Exhibit

Brad Marr, a fine artist from Omaha known for his imaginative exploration of life and space, is returning to the art world with his upcoming solo exhibition, “Murmurations,” at Ming Toy Gallery in Benson.

Marr, who has exhibited his work both locally and nationally at venues such as the Petshop Gallery, Split Gallery, and the Sioux City Art Center, credits his return to a transformative period in his life. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2010, Marr honed his skills as a resident technician at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, further developing his passion for creating art.

However, after finishing school, Marr found himself taking a six-year hiatus from his artistic career. During this time, he and his wife ran their own restaurant. However, as many others experienced during significant global changes, a shift in perspective allowed Marr to rediscover his creative spirit.

“When I was ready to return to art, I noticed that the scene for visual artists in Omaha had transformed,” said Marr. “It’s incredible to see how much has changed.”

Drawing inspiration from childhood experiences, Marr has since found a distinct artistic style that he is eager to share. His new exhibition, “Murmurations,” explores the mysteries of life and space, blending his creative imagination with a deep curiosity about the world around him.
