Omaha Symphony Celebrates Independance Day with Metro Community

July 3rd, 2023

Celebrate the 4th of July with the Omaha Symphony at the Gene Leahy Mall for their second annual Independence Day Celebration concert. This concert will feature the Omaha Symphony, along with vocal ensemble, Résonance, performing favorites like The Star-Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, Stars and Stripes Forever, music by John Williams, and much more.

Dani Meier is the Vice President of Artistic Administration with the Omaha Symphony. She says that July 4th is the perfect summer concert celebration time.

Meier says that this concert is going to showcase a lot of popular tunes that the audience will be sure to enjoy. The Omaha Symphony will be performing a lot of patriotic favorites, so people who have attended these concerts before will definitely recognize different pieces that are being played. Meier says that the symphony will be utilizing some effects from the park, during their performance, as well. Meier says the Gene Leahy is a great location for summer concerts!

The audience will even get to listen to some pieces that aren’t normally played during the Omaha Symphony’s regular season. Meier says the Omaha Symphony just wants to give the community an opportunity to listen to some good music! She also says there will even be a special guest present at the Celebration concert.

The Omaha Symphony’s Independence Day Celebration is tomorrow, July 4th at 8:30pm under the Gene Leahy Mall Performance Pavilion. The symphony will end their performance with a bang! Featuring a spectacular fireworks display set to live music. The Omaha Symphony is very excited to celebrate with everyone at the park.
