UNO Graduating BFA & BASA Student Exhibition

The School of the Arts of the University of Nebraska at Omaha presents the work of graduating undergraduate students in the upcoming Fall 2023 BFA Thesis + BASA Senior Exhibitions.

This biannual experience is held at the end of the fall and spring semesters and presents the work of each semester’s graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art (BASA) as a culmination of their coursework and creative exploration. BFA students are required to mount a professional exhibition as a part of their degree requirements. BASA students have the option to participate.

These concurrent exhibitions will be on display in the UNO Art Gallery from November 17 through December 15. The show opens with a reception (at the Gallery) from 5 – 7pm on Friday November 17.

BFA artist talks will take place from 12 –1pm on Wednesday, November 29. Each BFA candidate will discuss their artworks, influences, and creative process.

Additionally, the Gallery will host thesis talks by graduating seniors in Art History from 12 –1pm on Wednesday, Dec 6.

The closing reception will take place (at the Gallery) on Friday, December 15, from 5 – 7pm, following UNO’s Commencement activities.

Gallery hours for the exhibition are Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m. (apart from the receptions and talks). Admission to the Gallery and all programming is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served at the receptions.
