I am so happy to be part of the KVNO team! It is a genuine privilege to engage with people through classical music and art. Our listeners and supporters make this community truly special, and I am proud to call Omaha home.

I was born and raised in Lincoln, a sixth-generation Nebraskan. According to the lore, my ancestors felt very fortunate because they lived in a “two-story” sod house! I am grateful to the Lincoln Public Schools music educators who always encouraged my love of singing and music while I was growing up.

I graduated from St Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a degree in vocal performance. While a student, I sang soprano in the St Olaf Choir. I also worked as a board operator and broadcast technician for a classical station on campus, thus beginning my love of listener-supported public radio!

After graduation, I sang professionally around the Midwest for decades, including the Dale Warland Singers and Minnesota Opera in the Twin Cities, Abendmusik in Lincoln, and Opera Omaha, Rèsonance, Cathedral Arts Project, and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Omaha.

In my spare time I can usually be found walking around the Dundee neighborhood with my Basset hound/lab mix, Chester, curled up with a novel in my 110-year-old house, or sitting proudly in the audience with my husband, Foster, at our two teenage sons’ musical performances. Thank you to all the music teachers in Omaha Public Schools who continue to inspire the next generation of Nebraskans!
