Omaha Native Recounts 1975 Weather Events (Tornado)

OMAHA-Over three days, an outbreak of 36 tornadoes struck the Midwest and Southern United States, ending in Louisiana. South Dakota, Iowa, Texas, and Mississippi were also struck by several tornadoes. The outbreak killed three people, injured 137 in Omaha, and resulted in millions of dollars loss.
In 1975 an F4 category tornado that made landfall in Omaha, passed distant from where nurse Deb Bahr lived but close to her mother’s home.
