Exploring Omaha Performing Arts (OPA): Beyond the Stage
February 14th, 2024
At Omaha Performing Arts (OPA), the excitement never stops, with a jam-packed calendar of thrilling shows all year round. But amidst the dazzle of performances, OPA also places a high value on its educational and outreach endeavors within the community.
One shining example of this commitment is the highly anticipated hip-hop lab taking place this month. Such is its popularity that the initial one-day event sold out in record time, prompting organizers to extend it for an additional day. Geared towards students from grades six through 12, the lab offers an immersive exploration of the core elements of hip-hop culture.
Sylvia Stone, Communications Manager for OPA, emphasizes that beyond the hip-hop camp, there’s a diverse array of related events scheduled for February, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy and engage with.
Meanwhile, progress continues unabated on the construction of the Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement, a pivotal project aimed at further enriching the cultural landscape of Omaha.
As always, here are some upcoming events to mark on your calendar for a dose of fun and entertainment in the weeks ahead.
