Omaha TEDx Highlights Local Artists and Voices
November 4th, 2024
Omaha’s TEDx events offer a unique platform for local voices to share their stories, inspire change, and spark meaningful conversations. While the spotlight often shines on artists, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders, TEDx’s true magic lies in its ability to connect diverse perspectives and ignite collaboration.
David Guilles, a retired Air Force veteran, believes Omaha TEDx showcases talent and fosters a spirit of unity and exploration that enriches the community. Since retiring about ten years ago, he has used his experience to help people communicate more effectively and become their best selves.
TEDx Omaha hosts yearly main events and monthly salons for smaller groups. When selecting speakers, organizers seek a variety of perspectives. Gilles emphasizes that artists often have a unique and profound way of sharing their insights.
The next monthly salon will be held at Kaneko on November 7. It will feature the theme “Finding the Right Words and What to Do When You Don’t.”
The annual main event, which will focus on “Exploring the Power of Connections,” is scheduled for November 21 at Creighton University.
