‘Angels in America’ at OCP: A Masterpiece of 20th Century Theater
October 11th, 2024
“Angels in America: Part One” is the second season show at the Omaha Community Playhouse, part of an exciting lineup of performances. Director Prize, making her first visit to Omaha, says audiences will quickly connect with the story and form a personal bond with the characters. The play touches on struggles we all recognize daily, making it relatable despite its grand themes.
The play, subtitled “A Gay Fantasia on National Themes,” delves into the 1980s AIDS crisis and explores love, identity, and politics. Prize has found working with local talent at the Playhouse a rewarding experience, feeling right at home in the community.
“Angels in America” will run until November 3rd. The show is recommended for adults and older teens. For more information, visit: Omaha Community Playhouse
