Bellevue Little Theatre Closes Off the Year with Miracle on 34th Street

November 11th, 2025

Miracles come in all shapes and sizes. They inspire belief and even spark the holiday spirit. Miracle on 34th Street is a musical from Bellevue Little Theatre that invites audiences to partake in the joy of the holiday season. Originally set in the 1940s, this classic production features beloved Christmas songs such as “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.”

The director of Miracle on 34th Street, Sara Scheidies, says, “Big is the word I would use. The show is designed for a big cast, a big orchestra, a big stage.”

This show has many moving parts—from sets to costumes. Scheidies explains, “There are about 130 costumes in this show.” In addition to directing, Scheidies also serves as the costume designer, creating elegant looks for the cast, from pom-poms to coats. The cast, thirty people strong, includes adults, teens, and kids.

“I feel like this cast has been working so incredibly hard,” says Scheidies. “I’ve seen, just from day to day, leaps and bounds in terms of how incredible this show is starting to look.”

Miracle on 34th Street will be showing at Bellevue Little Theatre until November 23. More information can be found at theblt.org.
