Celebrate Music and Community at Unity Fest

August 29th, 2025

Transcending language, culture, and time, music has been bringing folks together for as long as it’s been played. Omaha non-profit Freedomtainment, in collaboration with fellow non-profit Casa de la Cultura – South Omaha, is celebrating diversity and community this Saturday at the Gene Leahy Mall. The fourth annual Level Up! Job, Housing & Resource Fair kicks off at 11 a.m. followed by an evening of music with the Unity Festival beginning at 7 p.m.

Freedomtainment, celebrating five years of service to the community, hosted their first Level Up! Resource Fair amid the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021. In the years following, the Level Up! Resource Fair has become an annual tradition. This year, the resource fair will begin 11a.m. Saturday and run through 4 p.m.

The Children’s Entrepreneur Market will join Freedomtainment and Casa de la Cultura from the afternoon into the evening. Beginning at 6 p.m., the Children’s Entrepreneur Market will be open through 9 p.m., run by kids between the ages of 5 and 17. The Unity Festival will start at 7 p.m. and run through 10 p.m.

The Unity Festival will feature music performances from artists both local and international. The lineup includes Omaha saxophonist Chad Stoner, Marcos Eduardo’s Latino Music Explosion, and Enjoli & Timeless alongside festival headliner five-time grammy winner Ceelo Green. The festival will be hosted by Felicia Casher, also known as With Love, Felicia.
