Duane Adams is a cherished artist and integral member of the Artist Cooperative Gallery (ACG) nestled in the historic Old Market. Adams has been a part of the cooperative since its early days, contributing his artistic talents to its vibrant community. With a background in painting and drawing, Adams devoted an impressive 38 years to teaching high school in Griswold, Iowa, and later served as an adjunct professor at Iowa Community Western College. In retirement, he continues to actively engage in the arts, bringing his unique perspective to ACG.
A key figure in ACG’s creative journey, Adams has been instrumental in shaping the artistic landscape within the Old Market. As ACG approaches its 50th anniversary, Adams reflects on his diverse artistic ventures, including a recent foray into pottery.
