Gallery 1516 Combines Art and Music for November Events

Gallery 1516 invites the community to enjoy a unique blend of art and music this November with its popular “Bagels and Sometimes Bach” Sunday concert series and the 2024 Regional Photography Biennial Juried Exhibition.

The Sunday morning concerts, a staple of the gallery’s programming, pair live music with a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy coffee and bagels while listening to classical and contemporary performances by talented local and regional musicians. The series has become a favorite for those seeking an intimate and inspiring cultural experience to close out their weekends.

Complementing the musical offerings is the 2024 Regional Photography Biennial Juried Exhibition, which runs from Oct. 4 to Dec. 15. This year’s exhibit features 91 photographers, showcasing some of the best contemporary talent from Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

Keith F. Davis, a distinguished former curator of photography at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City and the Hallmark Photographic Collection, will judge the exhibition. With over $20,000 in awards up for grabs, the exhibition highlights the richness and diversity of regional photography.
