It’s the most wonderful time of year at BLUEBARN Theatre with their new holiday production.
Get in the Holiday Spirit with BLUEBARN Theatre
November 25th, 2025
As the grinch steals Christmas, Santa delivers another toy and Scrooge learns the meaning of holiday cheer all on one stage; BLUEBARN Theatre presents their annual holiday production as part of its 37th season. “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” celebrates the festive season with a performance filled with laughter and dedication to the most wonderful time of year.
Director Ablan Roblin says the play’s story follows three actors preparing for their upcoming holiday performance. “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” opens with the actors bickering over which Christmas play they will perform.
The play explores the true meaning of holiday spirit through chaotic rendition of tales such as ”How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Die Hard” among others as the story unfolds. Actors Josh Peyton, Jonathan Purcell and Theresa Sindelar bring each story to life through quick comedy changes and witty banter.
Following the tradition of BLUEBARN Theatre’s comedic holiday productions, “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” will feature a healthy dose of parody and silliness throughout the show. Although much of the play is choreographed, the play will be an immersive experience with opportunities for audience participation. Audience members will be able to pitch suggestions to the performers. At select points in the show, randomly selected audience members will join the performers on stage.
“Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” is being performed now through December 20 at BLUEBARN Theatre.
