Omaha Chamber Music Society Showcases Classical Evolution in 2025 Heritage Concert Series
January 13th, 2025
The Omaha Chamber Music Society takes pride in delving into the intricate details of composers’ works when planning their concerts. For Thomas Kluge, Music Director of the Heritage Series, selecting a featured composer each season is more than a programming choice—it’s an opportunity to immerse audiences in the lives and legacies of classical music’s greats.
“Exploring the evolution of classical composers across different periods reveals fascinating changes in their creative journey,” Kluge said. “Some shifts in style may be subtle, but others are striking, offering valuable insights into how classical music has developed into what we know today.”
Kluge, who takes personal joy in curating music for the Heritage Concerts, handles all the research and preparation, ensuring that audiences can simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience.
Jay Wise, General Director of the Omaha Chamber Music Society, expressed his enthusiasm for the program. “We’re thrilled to present the music and history of Schubert in this year’s Heritage Concert Series,” Wise said. “It’s an incredible opportunity to connect our community with the beauty and depth of classical music.”
The 2025 Heritage Concert Series features three performances, all held at the Omaha Conservatory of Music. The first concert is set for tomorrow at 7 p.m., with additional performances scheduled for March and May.
