Take What You Need from BLUEBARN Theatre’s Little Free Pantry

January 30th, 2026

While the weather may be cold outside, it is the warmth of the local community that makes all the difference in the winter months. BLUEBARN Theatre is maintaining a new permanent resource for whoever may need it with their Little Free Pantry.

Take what you need and leave what you can is the core motto behind a Little Free Pantry. Launched in the beginning of December, the pantry is re-stocked weekly both internally by BLUEBARN Theatre as well as through donations from members of the community. During the winter, canned goods or items stored in glass run the risk of exploding in the low temperatures, so the pantry features a majority of dry goods available.

The Little Food Pantry is free for those who need it. For those who would like to donate, items such as dried goods, individually packaged snacks, and items that do not require preparation such as bread or cereal are ideal in an outdoors pantry.

Alongside food items, other necessities such as toiletries, cleaning supplies, and first aid items are welcome both to take or give. All items can be donated inside the theatre Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Smaller items can also be donated directly to the pantry itself.
