Jenni Sorkin: Deviant Scale: Cloth at the Body’s Margins

This talk gives an early glimpse into Jenni Sorkin’s in-process book project, Deviant Scale: Cloth at the Body’s Margins, which argues for a reevaluation of textile-based art production in the United States during the period of 1985–2000.

Live @ LOW END | TENGGER

TENGGER is a traveling musical family, made up of Pan-Asian couple ITTA (from South Korea) and MARQIDO (from Japan), who create their brand of psychedelic New-Age drone magic through the use of voice, Indian harmonium, and toy instruments (played by ITTA), and synths and electronics (played by MARQIDO).

. In homage to those resilient musicians, Claire, Paige and Dr. Beard will perform an arrangement of Beethoven’s Trio in D Major, Op.87 masterfully scored for 2 flutes and alto flute by the Jewish American flutist (and Beard’s former teacher) Karl F. Kraber.
