The Sculpture Garden at The RiverFront Sunday, October 3 6 pm Free Panelists: ISC Executive Director Johannah Hutchison, Artist and Juror Norie Sato, and Artist and Juror John Clement Moderator: Jeff Koterba Celebrate the unveiling of the newest sculptures in The RiverFront Sculpture Garden! This opening night event will feature an engaging panel discussion that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the public art selection process. The program features a diverse group of jurors – artists, curators, and civic leaders – who were tasked with reviewing proposals and selecting artworks for The RiverFront Sculpture Garden. Panelists will share their experiences and insights into the selection criteria, deliberation process, and the challenges and rewards of making decisions that reflect the values and identity of a community. Discover how artistic merit, site context, and cultural relevance all contribute to shaping the final selections. Whether you’re an artist, policymaker, or simply curious about how public spaces are transformed through art, this conversation will shed light on the collaborative effort behind public art and its lasting impact on the places we live and work.
