Does a poem have to rhyme? How does a poem develop, from something scribbled in a notebook to the final draft?

Join Julie Paschold for a class that will explain form and free verse poetry, explore ways of structuring poetry to affect the voice in your poetry, and show ways of playing with free verse to emphasize and change how a poem is read.

Everyone is welcome, whether they are new to poetry or have been writing for years. Please bring a notebook and favorite writing utensil. You may also bring a poem you are in the process of writing or editing.

Pre-registration is required. $20, $15 for garden members.
