Labor Night at the Movies: 9 to 5

We’re delighted to welcome the William Brennan Institute for Labor Studies back for a special Labor Night at the Movies one week before Labor Day. This year, we’re featuring the hit comedy classic 9 to 5, starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton. After the film, join us for a panel discussion with local labor advocates in conversation about the past, present and future state of women in the workforce.

About the Film: An office satire about three female secretaries who decide to get revenge on their tyrannical, sexist boss by abducting him and running the business themselves. The trio, one of whom has been passed over for promotion because she is a woman, spends a night together indulging in their revenge fantasies. Hilarity ensues.
