Presented at the spectacular yet intimate Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center in Council Bluffs, this mixed-repertory program showcases the expressive range of ballet with varied and exhilarating works. Whipped Cream!
This joyous, nostalgic tribute to summer in the 1960s features live music by an onstage band led by Omaha jazz trumpeter Doyle Tipler.
‘Black Swan’
pas de deux from Swan Lake
An alluring sorceress tempts a prince to break his vow of true love in this dramatic contest of wills, played out through spectacular feats of classical ballet technique.
Erika Overturff’s
Feeling Good
Jazzy and stylish, this work in six sections is inspired by the music of legendary vocalist Nina Simone..
Plus… the premiere of Significant Encounters, a new work created for us by Omaha native and Broadway veteran Ray Mercer, choreographer of past Momentum standouts Ghost Light and Speed Date.
Performances will be at 7:30 pm Friday and Saturday, October 18 and 19, and at 2 pm Sunday, October 20. Good seats are still available if you act now!
