Barron Breland, a distinguished figure rooted in Southern heritage, currently holds the esteemed position of Dean of the Graduate School at Creighton University. However, his journey is intricately intertwined with a rich background in music.

Before assuming this pivotal leadership role, Breland notably conducted choirs, playing a key role in collaborative initiatives with various Omaha-based organizations, including the Omaha Symphony Ensembles. This year marks a significant milestone as he takes on the role of conductor for one of Omaha’s highly anticipated concerts for the first time.

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. and this Sunday at 2:00 p.m., the Omaha Symphonic Chorus and the Omaha Symphony join forces to present the 27th Annual Christmas at the Cathedral concert at St. Cecilia Cathedral. This captivating event promises an exceptional fusion of classical music, complemented by the opportunity to marvel at the venue’s architectural beauty before or after the performance.
