Mural Scavenger Hunt

During this event, curated by muralist Hylan Miller, participants will receive a list of murals to find across the city, featuring pieces that showcase Omaha’s creativity, neighborhoods, and stories. The hunt is self-guided, so you can explore at your own pace while tracking down murals, snapping photos, and seeing parts of the city you might normally miss.

3 PM: Mural Discussion by Hylan Miller (Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel)

4 PM: Event Ends – please stay and enjoy the Cottonwood Room after the event.

Some teams will treat it like a challenge, others will take their time and enjoy the art along the way. Prizes will be awarded (details coming soon), and participants can purchase an optional early start if they want a head start.

The event wraps up at 3:00 PM at the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, where Hylan will walk through the murals featured in the hunt, sharing background on the artists, styles, and stories behind the work.

Guests are invited to stay afterward to enjoy the beautiful Cottonwood Room, while also learning a bit about the history of the hotel, one of Omaha’s most iconic gathering places.

Bring comfortable shoes, your phone for photos, and a sense of curiosity – you’ll see Omaha a little differently by the end of the day.
