The Omaha Community Playhouse has launched VROOM! Mobile Sensory Theatre. This traveling theatre experience is designed for children with autism or other sensory sensitivities.

Durham Museum Honors Memorial Park
On June 5, 1948, one day before the fourth anniversary of the invasion of Normandy, the citizens of Omaha welcomed President Harry S. Truman to formally dedicate the World War II Memorial Park to the people of Douglas County.

Rededicating Memorial Park on its 75th anniversary
Kissing Sailor Statue (aka “Unconditional Surrender” or “Embracing Peace”)is a temporary installation, and it will be here until November 15th of this year. On June fourth there will be a re-dedication of the memorial with the new plaza. 75 years ago, US President Harry Truman inaugurated the park.
