Classical Kids

KVNO congratulates Niles Zhang, our KVNO Classical for the month of December! Niles is 13 and is in the 7th grade at Millard North Middle School. He originally played piano and now also plays violin, alto sax and tenor sax – and says he loves music! He’s won a $300 scholarship from KVNO and the Soener Foundation in memory of Mary Belle Soener. 

Emelia Weaver is the kind of young person that teachers love to teach. She’s dedicated, works hard and is passionate about music. And she’s our November KVNO Classical Kid! She has won a $300 scholarship from the Soener Foundation in memory of Mary Belle Soener.

KVNO congratulates Alexandra Weber, our KVNO Classical Kid for the month of October! Alexandra plays violin, clarinet, piano, organ, and ukulele, and she also sings! She’s won a $300 scholarship from the Soener Foundation in memory of Mary Belle Soener. 

Mira Mukherjee is the KVNO Classical Kid for the month of September! Mira is 14 and has been musical all her life. She’s been playing piano for six years, and occasionally performs duets with her twin sister who plays violin. Her piano teacher at the Omaha Conservatory of Music says Mira is hardworking, curious and her talent has been growing by leaps and bounds. She has won a $300 scholarship from the Soener Foundation in memory of Mary Belle Soener. 

Congrats to Elizabeth Evans, our KVNO Classical Kid for the month of August! Elizabeth is 9 years old, attends Mary Our Queen and takes piano lessons at the Omaha Conservatory of Music. She and her father have even taken piano lessons together. Elizabeth has won a $300 scholarship from the Soener Foundation in memory of Mary Belle Soener.

KVNO salutes Ruslan Guliev, our KVNO Classical Kid for the month of July! Ruslan is 12 and attends Brownell Talbot. He plays the piano and often plays and performs with his mom, who is a professional violinist. Like all KVNO Classical Kids, Ruslan has won a $300 scholarship from the Soener Foundation in memory of Mary Belle Soener. 

Congratulations to Vicky Wu, our KVNO Classical Kid for the month of June! Vicky is 13 and attends La Vista Middle School. She plays both piano and flute and loves to convey a feeling or message in her music. Like all our Classical Kids, Vicky has won a $300 scholarship from the Soener Foundation in memory of Mary Belle Soener. 

Congratulations to Giselle Schneider, our KVNO Classical Kid for the month of May! Giselle is 12 and homeschooled, and she takes piano lessons at the Omaha Conservatory of Music. In addition to playing piano, Giselle sings with her band Musical Kids and often performs at festivals around the area. She’s our latest winner of a $300 scholarship from the Soener Foundation in memory of Mary Belle Soener. 

KVNO congratulates Dalynn Garcia Moreno, our April Classical Kid! Dalynn is 10 and attends Meadows Elementary. She plays piano and says her fingers feel like they are dancing when she plays. Our March KVNO Classical Kid is Ian Zhang. He attends Cather Elementary and plays three instruments.

Clare is 9 and is homeschooled. She takes piano lessons from the Omaha Conservatory of Music and believes her music is a gift to others.

Angela Sim is our KVNO Classical Kid for the month of January. Angela is very accomplished and has played the violin since she was 3. Our congratulations to Angela!
