Joslyn Art Museum Reopens with Expanded Galleries and New Exhibitions

After more than two years of renovation and expansion, the Joslyn Art Museum has reopened its doors to the public, unveiling the highly anticipated Rhonda & Howard Hawks Pavilion. The 42,000-square-foot addition, designed in collaboration with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture, enhances the museum’s visitor experience while increasing gallery space by over 40 percent to accommodate its historic and growing collection.

Megan McCoy: Bringing Fiber Art to Omaha

Art is one of many ways to express yourself, and for fiber artist Megan McCoy, art is a way to encourage thoughts about femininity.
McCoy’s interest in fiber art began while completing a master’s degree in textile design from Norwich University of the Arts, in England. After graduation, she returned to Omaha and continued her career as a fiber artist.

Omaha Children’s Museum Plans New Home on the Riverfront

The Omaha Children’s Museum is looking ahead to a new home along the Riverfront.

The museum has been a fixture on South 20th Street for decades, welcoming generations of metro-area children. Its iconic, colorful building was originally a car dealership, and the organization has long been planning to build a permanent home.
