Omaha Community Playhouse Approaches 100 Years
Omaha Community Playhouse ended its 98th season with the production of Kinky boots this production was a smash hit where at the end of the show, the audience danced along with the actors.

PACE, Increasing in popularity
In 2022 Pace had an array of stage shows from the Kenansville Symphony Orchestra and the Chanticleer Community Theater. There were also youth summer camps, an exhibition with 40 original artists, the southwest Iowa arts tour, Winterfest, and The Nutcracker as some of the major events.

Jerry Longe plays Scrooge one last time
Jerry Long played Scrooge for many years at the Omaha Community House. His favorite act is when he comes out to greet the spectators.
Longe first moved to Omaha in 1980 and toured with the Nebraska Theatre Caravan’s production of A Christmas Carol playing Marley, Ghost of Christmas Present, and Jake. He is ready to take up a new role in his life.

“Malcolm X” traces its roots to Omaha
‘X, The Life and Times of Malcolm X’ premiers in the Midwest this month at the Orpheum theater. Robertson plays the role of Elijah and Street. This a co-production with Opera Omaha because it tracks the life of Malcolm X.
